The Yo San Difference

By Larry Ryan

What is special about Yo San?

What is it about the experience of Yo San University that motivates students to persist through graduation and to maintain contact and often some level of affiliation with the university subsequent to graduation and licensure?

What is the Yo San difference that accounts for the number of transfer students who choose our program to complete their TCM education?

How are we different?

The difference is YOU.

You have chosen to be a part of a community that is not only about learning, but also about living.

Yo San University is founded on a particular orientation to living that is referred to as the “Way”.

As an institution with Toaist foundations, for every individual in the Yo San community, behaviors, attitudes and most importantly person to person interactions are mediated by the factors of harmony and balance.

While the factors of harmony and balance are cultivated through Qi classes, they are carried forward by the inherent awareness that every member of the Yo San community brings to classroom, clinic, academic advisement, administrative, public presentation and other interactions .

It is no wonder that students thrive in classes, clinic patients find restored health and balance, cohorts of graduates achieve consistently impressive pass rates on state board examinations, and members of the surrounding community stand in awe and admiration.

We are both a learning and a living community, and the living that we promulgate is one that places the inherent goodness and balance of human beings as a primary factor.

This simple foundational principle was established by our founders, Dr. Daoshing Ni and Dr. Mao Shing Ni through their family legacy of service and dedication to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

It is through YOU, as a member of the Yo San community that these principles, that constitute the Yo San difference, are carried forward.

YOU are the Yo San difference.
